Gib used to swim with us at second falls and the government doc when I was a kid. He was a couple of years older than most of us and we all looked up to him as a role model. I will always have fond memories of him.

Our most precious memories of Gib, were of course in the bush. We were honored to spend one winter on Gibs trap line with both Gib and Jamie. Gib also taught us how to properly construct a cordwood bridge and he taught us the meaning of patience and how to always respect nature.
It is with the upmost respect Vera that we send our condolences to you and your family at this very sad time. We have been taken away from your beautiful part of the world, but have not forgotten all the wonderful times we spent with Gib.
It would be nice to see a monument for Gib out in the bush where he spent so much of his life. The beautiful plague in on Lennon Lake that the Bowhunters placed in memory of Jamie stands as a tribute through time to him.
Gib is and will always be in our hearts as a teacher, a leader and a humble man, who taught so many about nature and the cycle of life. Gib truly was a legend and a man with integrity. We will be sure to stop in and see you Vera, the next time we are in Restoule. Please know that our thoughts are with you!
