Duane Scott Small

Duane Scott Small, 44, of Toronto, On. passed suddenly on July 15, 2014. Duane was born in North Bay, September 4, 1969 to Karen (nee Felska) and the late Ivan John Small. Duane spent most his young life in Powassan, On. living briefly in British Columbia and Alberta. Duane was an avid outdoorsman and was well known for his witty sense of humour.  He is survived by his loving daughter; Katelyn Newton of Barrie; his siblings, Lindy Small and Carla Small (Joe Mallia) of Toronto; Mark (Sharon) Small of Bowmanville; Roddy Hurst of Castlegar, BC; Cindy Grasser and James Grasser of Powassan, and his step mom, Sharon Grasser of Powassan. Duane will be greatly missed by his aunt, uncle, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Whispering Pines Funeral Home in Powassan, from 12 to 2 pm, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Duane’s life.Interment to follow at Nipissing Cemetery.
