Dempster, Alexander “Lex”
Peacefully passed away on June 13, 2015 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to Elaine (nee Henkel). Devoted and loving father to Craig Dempster (Elaine) and Steven Dempster (Donna Chrisp). Proud grandfather to Kelly, Bryan, Steven and Scott. Lex was predeceased by his father George Dempster, mother Annie Moir (nee Wilson), and his brother George. Lex was a member of the Over 55 club in Callander, and the Golden Age Club of Corbeil. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Whispering Pines Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home in Callander (87 Lansdowne Street) on Thursday June 18, 2015 from 2 to 4pm with a memorial service following at 4pm in the chapel to Celebrate Lex’s life. If desired donations made to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone on D3 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for the care and compassion they gave Lex.
